SIGANOS Wine & Spirits
Industrial / Logistics

A contemporary logistics and office facility designed for one of Crete’s leading wine and spirits companies, combining industrial efficiency with a strong architectural identity.
Year: 2020-2021
Location: Heraklion Industrial Area, Crete
Area: 5,020 m²
Status: Completed
Located in the Industrial Area of Heraklion, the new Siganos Wine & Spirits facilities were designed to accommodate the company’s growing needs in storage, distribution and administrative operation. The project brings together large-scale logistics infrastructure and a refined corporate presence, transforming a functional industrial building into a recognizable architectural landmark.

The building is organized around a clear operational logic. The main warehouse volume supports the reception, storage and circulation of products, while the office areas are developed as a distinct administrative core. This separation allows the complex to function with precision, ensuring efficiency in daily logistics while maintaining a composed and professional spatial identity.

Architecturally, the project is defined by the contrast between the large neutral volume of the warehouse and the geometric façade system that wraps the upper part of the building. The triangular pattern creates rhythm, depth and visual movement across the elongated elevation, softening the scale of the industrial shell and giving the building a distinctive contemporary character. The monochromatic palette of greys and whites reinforces the clarity of the composition, while the company’s signage becomes an integrated part of the façade rather than an applied element.

Beyond its visual identity, the project responds to the technical demands of a modern logistics facility. The building includes storage and wholesale distribution areas, office spaces, auxiliary functions, parking areas and accessible exterior circulation. Its large-scale volume, loading zones and organized site layout support the everyday movement of goods, vehicles and staff with clarity and control. The building develops across three above-ground levels and one basement level, with a total built area of 5,020.77 sq.m.

The result is a facility where architecture and logistics coexist: a building that serves the operational needs of the company while projecting stability, precision and contemporary corporate identity.
